Overview

Micify turns your phone into a live microphone — it streams your voice to a connected speaker, headphones, or Bluetooth audio device in real time. This policy explains exactly what that involves from a privacy standpoint, in plain terms.

Microphone Access

Micify requests microphone access for one purpose only: to capture your voice and play it back out loud through your chosen output in real time, the same way a physical wired microphone would. Audio is processed entirely in memory on your device and is never written to disk, saved to your photo library, uploaded anywhere, or made accessible to us or anyone else.

You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device's Settings. Micify simply won't be able to function without it, since that's the app's entire purpose.

What We Don't Collect

Micify does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Audio or voice recordings of any kind
• Your name, email address, or any account information — there is no account or sign-up
• Location data
• Analytics, usage tracking, or crash reporting data
• Advertising identifiers

Micify has no backend server. It doesn't make network requests as part of its core functionality, and it doesn't share data with any third party because it doesn't collect any in the first place.

Local Preferences

Micify saves a small number of preferences — such as your chosen broadcast mode (tap-to-toggle or hold-to-talk) and mic boost level — directly on your device using local, on-device storage. This information never leaves your phone, isn't linked to your identity, and isn't accessible to us.

Third-Party Services

Micify does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It relies only on standard operating system APIs (Apple's AVFoundation on iOS, Android's audio APIs) to capture and play back audio.

Children's Privacy

Micify is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, regardless of age — consistent with everything above, since the app simply has no mechanism to collect or store personal data.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of Micify adds a feature that involves data collection — this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change. We'll always aim to keep this policy accurate and easy to understand.

By downloading, installing, or using Micify, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app.

Description of Service

Micify is a utility app that turns your phone's microphone into a live audio source, streaming your voice in real time to a connected speaker, headphones, or Bluetooth device. It does not record, save, or transmit audio anywhere — see the Privacy Policy above for details.

Permitted Use

Micify is intended for personal, lawful use — karaoke, using your phone as a stand-in microphone, small gatherings, and similar everyday scenarios. You agree to use it only for purposes that are legal in your location.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use Micify to:

• Listen in on, broadcast, or amplify anyone's conversation without their knowledge and consent, where such consent is required by law
• Harass, intimidate, threaten, or disturb others
• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
• Infringe on the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where permitted by law

You are solely responsible for how you use Micify and for complying with any laws that apply to recording, surveillance, or consent in your jurisdiction — even though Micify itself does not record anything.

Volume & Equipment Safety

No Warranty

Micify is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, speaker, or Bluetooth accessory.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, App Oven Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including hearing damage, equipment damage, loss of data, or loss of goodwill — arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, Micify, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Intellectual Property

The Micify name, logo, and app design are the property of App Oven Studios. These Terms don't grant you any rights to use them outside of normal use of the app.

Third-Party Devices

Micify is designed to work with standard wired, Bluetooth, and AirPlay audio devices, but performance can vary by manufacturer and device. We aren't responsible for compatibility issues, audio quality, or delays caused by third-party hardware.

Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Micify, in whole or in part, at any time. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Micify after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date above will always reflect the most recent revision.

Governing Law
